What is CICA?
Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) is a government body created to compensate innocent victims of crime.
By working with you and the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority, our specialist criminal injury team can achieve an appropriate criminal injuries compensation package for your losses. We can also advise you on benefits and payments available to you if you are left permanently or temporarily disabled or unable to work.
The CICA scheme enables you to make a successful claim even if an offender is not identified, caught or convicted.
Contact our criminal injury claim specialists before you make assumptions about the likely success or failure of your case.
What happens after I contact you?
Once you make contact with us, we will make an initial assessment by asking you a few general questions to see if you are eligible to claim compensation under the Criminal Injuries Compensation scheme. Once we have the relevant information relating to your claim we will be able to tell if you are entitled to compensation under the scheme. If we are satisfied that you have a valid compensation claim, we will process your claim immediately and submit your information to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority.
We will then assist the CICA in gathering any information and evidence that they require to process your application.
